Grrreen UplawmooRRR
Uplawmoor is big on the 3 R’s. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Environmental Issues are key anchors of Uplawmoor Hotel Beliefs and Policies. This includes Waste Management, Carbon Reduction and Recycling. Reducing the amount of power, heating, water and paper that is wasted on a daily basis is incorporated to our staff training and is continually monitored. We also ensure deliveries are to a minimum which not only reduces carbon emissions but also heavy traffic through the village. Reusing the little things like paper, envelopes and plastic bags all helps. Recycling plastic, aluminium and cardboard. We fought to get communal recycling facilities for all the village to use in 2002 and now house them at the back of the hotel. Printer Cartridges are easily recyclable and often companies provide envelopes and donate money to charity for every used cartridge returned.
We are always interested in new ideas to help us be more Environmentally Conscious!
