Gleniffer Braes Country Park, Glenfield Road, south of Paisley. 1,300 acres of woodland and moorland with walks and panoramic views over the Clyde valley.

Finlaystone Estate (A8 near Langbank) - the seat of the current Chief of the Clan MacMillan, with woodland walks, formal garden, adventure playground, restored Victorian kitchen and laundry, plus extensive exhibitions of dolls, natural history and Celtic art.

Lunderston Bay, A770 Gourock - Inverkip Road, beautiful coastline with gorgeous scenery for walkers. 

Cornalees Bridge Centre, by Loch Thom just outside of Greenock, has woodland, moorland and hillwalks along the historic Greenock Cut with panoramic views of the Estuary. Activities include archery, orienteering and sailing plus excellent wildlife displays at the Visitors Centre.

The RSPB Nature Reserve, Lochwinnoch, situated within Clyde Murshiel is one of the few remaining wetland sites in the west of Scotland. With a platform & tower, giving excellent views over the marshland & loch.

Nearby, is the World famous Greenacres Curling Club, Home of the Olympic Champions!
